Clearance Shopping

The first thing I do when I walk into a store is find the clearance section.  Clearance shopping is a great way to stock up on clothes, decor, household and toiletry items.  I have saved incredible amounts of money on decorating our house (especially for the seasons and holidays!) and clothing our children by shopping the clearance racks.  Last night while working, I found some great clothes to stock up for the girls.  Here’s the breakdown of my deals from yesterday:

Carter’s dress 9 months  $3.60 was $36.00
Carter’s shirt 3 toddler   $3.60 was $18.00
Sonoma jeans 3 toddler  $4.00 was $20.00

Total with tax                  $11.98 saved $62.80

I love consignment shopping and will go into that in the future, but these prices are better than consignment and are brand new!

The dress is for Hayleigh, who will be in 6-9 month clothing for the winter, whereas both girls before her were in 12 month clothing for the winter.  Therefore, I have really needed to stock up on some warm stuff for that little one.  The dress is velour and will make for such a beautiful Christmas outfit!  And the 3T clothing will be perfect for Brylee this winter.  I was extremely excited to find jeans for her, as I don’t have any in that size yet.

Next time you are out shopping and browsing the racks, find out where the clearance section is and take a look.  Buying now and storing for later will keep you from paying full price when you really need it!
