2012 has kicked my bottom into gear! We have been busy, busy, busy around here! Lots of purging, donating, and reorganizing. Well, as much as I can get done with three little munchkins hounding for my attention.
Three of us have also been battling a pretty nasty cold. And my two year old has been having some major sleep issues. Which makes for a very tired and weary mama!
My day seems to overflow with lists, goals, tantrums, laundry, dishes, toys, and playtime. And that doesn’t even include snuggle time with hubby and the occasional workout here and there.
It’s pure craziness up in here!
That’s why it’s been a bit quiet on A Purpose Driven Home.
I also have been a bit unsure of the direction of the blog. As it grows, I feel like I need to post these one-of-a-kind, amazing articles to get more readers. And I hate that feeling. Because that’s not what it’s about. At least not for this blogger.
During my few weeks off from blogging, I decided that I am going back to my orignial desire for A Purpose Driven Home. And that’s to simply share the things I am learning day in and day out.
So no more getting caught up in the numbers. Or the fancy words.
If I ever seem to be forgetting that, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
Anyone else have any big light-bulb moments so far this year?

SO glad to see you back online! I have missed your wonderful posts! I can’t wait to see what the new year holds for wonderful posts from you. Welcome back Carolyn!!
I’ve been thinking about you, Heidi, wondering how you are doing and feeling! I am also excited about this year, trying to keep it simple yet powerful.
I am doing quite well! We are having a cooler than normal summer which I’m very thankful for now that I’m 28 weeks pregnant. Aside from some insomnia and hip pain at night which is already making sleeping difficult, I am feeling well and enjoying the pregnancy.
I am totally with you… I want this year to be powerful for my boys but my motto is to keep things simple! I am excited to share our journey with you as you embark on preschool with your daughter and I embark on 1st grade and possibly some Tot School with Jeremy (though I will follow his lead)!
Oh my goodness, I get such bad insomnia when I am pregnant too! I am already such a night person and for some reason, it’s sooo much worse when I get pregnant. lol! I look forward to see what you are doing with school! We need the motivation. We began last week, but then three of us got pretty sick and I still can’t shake it. Hoping to get back on track next week!
I love your blog it’s such an encouragement to me ( I’m a stay at home mom with a 2 and 1 year old). I would love to see a post on how you organize and de-clutter toys. I’m drowning in toys but cant seem to get rid of any.
Thank you, Naomi, for your sweet and encouraging words! Toys are definitely a huge struggle for us, but mainly because I tend to keep everything when really we don’t need it all. :/ I finally got to a breaking point, though, and have figured out some ways to get it under control. I will definitely share soon!
