Holiday Decorating: Using Cookie Cutters as Decorations

As I was pulling out all my fall decorations this past week, I came across two full bags of cookie cutters.  Most of them were very similar in their shapes.  So I started thinking of a way to use them for decorations.  And I came up with this…

I am all about simple and easy when it comes to decorating.  Oh, and cheap!  These circular cork trivets from IKEA were already on the wall.  Pin a cookie cutter to them and viola, I think it looks pretty cute!  Then if I need one, it can come down easily, be washed and put back.

Here are some more ideas for decorating using cookie cutters.

Carve your Halloween pumpkins using cookie cutters and a mallet!  I am totally doing this!!!

Make a festive banner by tracing cookie cutters onto scrapbook paper.

Back Christmas cookie cutters with festive scrapbook paper and you’ve got some adorable ornaments!

Oh my, I love this one!  Make a cookie cutter wreath!  Just add some glue! (Here’s is another tutorial.)

Anyone else have a great way to use cookie cutters during the holidays?

Besides making delicious desserts of course!  ;)
