Mission of the Month: May (and April Accomplishments)

Mission of the Month

This month has been pretty productive, despite being in my last trimester and pretty much exhausted.  As of right now, baby #3 is due any day now.  But I am proud to say that all of my to-do’s for April were accomplished!

April’s Missions

  • Wash & put away all newborn – 3 month clothing & cloth diapers. (A great tip on getting stains out of newborn clothing!)
  • Wash & wipe down infant car seat, ready to be installed into van.
  • Wash/wipe down boppy pillows, bouncing seat, & play gym.
  • Find dresser for master closet & organize clothing.
  • Go through all paperwork piles & file/toss.
  • Pack hospital bag by Easter!

Mission Accomplished

Hayleigh will sleep with us in our bedroom until she sleeps through the night.  Here is our set-up

I also did some other extra organizing around the house!  Our tot and preschool activities needed some major organization in our playroom closet…

And I made some activity boxes for the girls as “new baby” presents and to keep them busy once Hayleigh comes.

Hubby also had some goals for the month of April that I needed for him to do…

  • Hang rods & curtains in playroom.
  • Secure bathroom over-the-toilet shelving to wall.
  • Hang up shelf in master bathroom.
  • Take down destroyed blinds in front room, hopefully replacing with new ones!
  • Hang rods & curtains in girls’ room.

The first three haven’t been done yet but that’s because hubby’s grandmother spent the whole month severely sick in the hospital, unsure of what was wrong with her.  This past Saturday, she passed away.  Please keep his family in prayer.

Mission for May

  • To survive the newborn stage while also loving on two toddlers, somehow managing 3 under 3!

And that’s it.  To be honest, I am really excited for Hayleigh to come.  I have never been more ready or more excited.  The first two babies… I was a scared mess.  But I haven’t had any fears with baby #3… just pure joy and anticipation.

One thing I haven’t figured out, though.  When will I sleep???

I’ll be sure to let you know how that works out.  ;)

Way to go on getting all of your stuff done! :)

Can’t wait to “meet” Hayleigh! :) Have fun and enjoy it-and also try to get a little sleep! :)

I really like your organized closet. Ours is a mess, and a long-term goal has been to put in shelves and such. Right now it is overrun by stuffed animals. How do I get rid of a HUGE trash bag full of stuffed animals every 4 months and still be overrun??? Where do they get these things? ;)

    • Carolyn says:

Oh my goodness, I know about the stuffed animals! Ours come from my husband’s addiction to the “crane game”! UGH! lol :) Thanks for stopping by!

I love your tot school storage space. I wish that i had an extra closet in my home for all our homeschool stuff. We have many of the same games. Can’t wait for the baby arrival announcement.

Our house does have some really great closet space. I really need to get to our 3 hall closets (can you believe we have that many?? And it’s not even a big house!) But that will have to wait for a good few months. I can’t wait for the birth announcement either!! :)

Congrats on finishing your goals! I just had my fourth boy so I am little envious of your girl power. I am so stealing your hanger/clothespin/baggie idea, so thanks for that great picture! Good luck on the birth of your newest bundle of joy.

    • Carolyn says:

Thank you! Well, I am definitely envious of your boy power!! I would love a little boy to cuddle with. Sigh.. maybe one day. And so glad my idea could help you! I am normally the one stealing the ideas, but I was proud of myself for coming up this one myself. Especially being pregnant because I definitely get that “pregnant brain” if you know what I mean! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Yay for checking things off your list (one of my favorite pastimes :) No worries about the sleep, it happens….and you find supernatural strength from the Lord when it doesn’t, love you!
