Moments to Remember: Working Together

Even though we are still dealing with some sickness around our house, we started official preschool with Brylee this week.  So much fun!

Every Saturday I will share a picture from our week that was a special moment or memory.  Because while school can be fun, it can also be quite difficult.  So to choose to capture the good memories keeps us going!

Above the girls are playing with a very coveted and popular toy around here. Mommy even loves the thing because it reinforces color recognition and patterns, as well as working on fine motor skills!

However, many fights have gone down since Christmas with this toy. I’ve been really trying to deal with these fights in a way that uplifts both girls and trains them to be loving and kind. Which can be extremely difficult, requiring lots of patient on my part!

This picture is of the girls doing the puzzle together, putting into action the discipline training I’ve been doing with them. Both were very kind, very loving and helpful with each other.

I couldn’t have been any more humbled!!!

It is such a joy and encouragement to see our little ones working together!

Ah! Moments like these just warm your heart don’t they? And help to remind us why we work so hard to teach our children to behave. I have a similar photo of James and Jeremy playing with a marble toy that was given to me when I was 2 years old! I love it on two levels – firstly that a simple toy that is 35 years old still intrigues and engages children of today, and secondly, that my boys CAN play nicely together even if only for a few golden moments.

With school starting officially for us in six days time I hope to start participating in Moments to Remember… providing I can figure out how to attach the button and link up and all that jazz!

The button is pretty easy, Heidi. Just copy the html code from 1+1+1=1 and then paste it into your html view when drafting your blog post. And the link up is pretty easy, just fill in the blanks. Let me know if I can help you more! I can’t wait to see your pictures! :)

I just love sweet little moments of sharing (and I mean little quite literally lol). It also help you think that you aren’t doing everything wrong…very affirming for a hard working momma!

Thanks for the congratulations! You may have noticed due to the sparseness of posts that pregnancy with 3 littles has not been good to me. lol I am starting to feel like a human being again however, so I hope to get back to regular posts soon. Good to see you around again as well! I’ve missed your real, down to earth posts! I’m interested to see how your eating naturally works out for you. That is something that I’ve wanted to do for a while now and I just don’t see how we can at the moment. You should ask Mrs. Taffy about it….she seems to have some really good company that she orders from that she considers reasonable….

    • Carolyn says:

Oh, Jessica, I am praying for you hard! We are looking forward to getting pregnant again, but I am so nervous because the adjustment to three has been a bit more difficult than I imagined. So I am a little nervous about being pregnant with three little ones running around. I am hoping to update how we are making the whole foods switch as often as I can the site, hoping to encourage others to do the same. I honestly didn’t think we could do it either and was very nervous at first. But I am really enjoying it and am finding that it’s not as hard as I thought it would be! And yes, I’ve been scouring through Mrs. Taffy’s archives to see what they are buying and the meals they are making. hehe :)
