We’re Expecting! {Baby #4}

If you follow me on Facebook, I made a big announcement a little bit ago.  We are expanding our family, from five to SIX in late December or early January.  We still aren’t sure about the due date.  I guess baby is measuring smaller but my uterus is measuring bigger.  I mean, this will be pregnancy #4 so maybe that has something to do with being bigger! ;)

We found out the day before Hayleigh’s first birthday party, hence the picture above.  Hayeligh looks pretty cute, but I must say, I look pretty exhausted!  Hubby and I decided to wrap a “Big Sister” t-shirt for Hayleigh and let her open it as her last present at the party.  It was a fun way to announce that we were expecting to our family.  Even though, I think it took a minute for everybody to realize why Hayleigh had a big sister shirt!

I know it’s been pretty quiet around here the past month.  Please know I have missed sharing and interacting with you all so much!  The morning sickness I felt this past month has knocked me off my feet.  A great deal of throwing up which I’ve never experienced before, constant nausea, and intense fatigue have left me barely able to get by as a wife and mother.  Not to mention not much energy for blogging!  I am finally starting to feel significantly better, though.  Hopefully that keeps up!

    How exciting!! Congratulations! :) My 4th pregnancy has totally knocked me off my feet too….by far the worst. symptoms. ever. Fortunately I’m nearing the end though! January is such a lovely time to have a baby….it will break up the monotony of the after Christmas blahs. Praying you feel better soon….and rest up when you can….

    CONGRATULATIONS Carolyn! So happy to hear your good news! Though I didn’t vomit with my third pregnancy, it was by far my hardest as far as pregnancy symptoms were concerned, so I can only imagine what a fourth would be like!! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers – that your symptoms will subside as you progress in this pregnancy and that you will have energy and health to look after yourself and your family.

    Not sure if you would have been checking my blogs to see the announcement in our family… so little Daniel Kristian joined our family at 12:26pm on Sunday the 15th of April! A very fast and furious labour… I had what I thought were Braxton Hicks contractions the night before while hubby and I enjoyed a movie date but they stopped when I came home and went to bed. They started up again at 7am but we still went to church and by the time the service ended at 10:30am they were 3-5 minutes apart and 30 seconds in duration. I got to the hospital at about 11:40am and everything happened very quickly after that. The only downfall was that hubby didn’t make it for the actual birth as he drove my mother-in-law and the older boys back to our house but such is life… better the 3rd than the 1st I suppose if you are going to miss one!!

    I’m looking forward to catching up with you… I miss you!!
